Think I should proceed and do you think it will still be okay or would you be concerned?
Personally speaking...sell it and buy a brand new one

The way I look at it going off of mine that came from a GM Vendor....all screws were there, all seals included, and the plastic tabs....are the same size

However, if you feel comfortable on YOUR car to do it. I'd say go for it but as you know "professionals" didn't feel comfortable doing it due to a damaged spoiler. My question ultimately how the H*** did the guy mess up that spoiler so bad that it's missing a screw?

Just wondering, brand new and painted how much did it cost you, and did it come with a template? the dealer who refused to install it said it should have came with one.

I also found another shop yesterday who believes they can repair it before installing it, was going to see about going that route.. opinions?

Templates are NOT sold with the spoiler. I think all together the spoiler ran me about $450ish

But like I said before. It's your car do what you're comfortable with.

Lift cylinders???? Are the ones you referenced different from the ones the non-spoiler car has? The spoiler can’t possibly weigh “that” much.

When I added my wicker bill to my SS there came a variety of weight-induced issues with opening and closing the trunk.

I got an extra spoiler on Amazon so I wouldn't ruin my OEM one and it cost me 145$ painted with installation hardware. I would avoid trying to repair one and then paying extra for someone to place it.

I’ve had the SS spoiler on my trunk for almost 2 years. The only thing I can say is when closing the trunk I would not want my fingers as it slams. I don’t remember if it used to do that since I put the spoiler on pretty fast after getting it lol
