Installing v6 brakes on a 5th gen SS

Hi I am planning on doing a v6 brake swap on my SS to fit a smaller wheel so far I have the calipers rotors and brake lines from a v6 not sure if I need and anything else then I am looking to install a 16 or 17 inch wheel 10 inches wide but I’m not sure what offset and backspacing I would need to run.

17’s will fit over stock ss rear calipers. 17x10 +45et or 17x10.5 +32et with a 305/45/17 Mickey ET Street R works with just having to tie the e-brake cable back.
Not 100% on all the parts but you will also need the dust shields if you want to do the v6 swap. You can run 16’s with the v6, you need smaller for 15’s and some suspension parts. There are a few companies that sell complete 15” conversion kits.

Upside is a smaller wheel, that allows for more side wall on a larger drag tire.

What offset would I need for a 16x9 I’m looking to run a 275 Hoosier or my radial haven’t decided yet

Also the SS dust shield won’t work? Can I trim it?

Best guess would be a +24et. Not too many choices on 16” wheels though.

Can I get away with a lower offset running the v6 brakes or does that not change what the offset needs to be?

Will 18" factory stamped steel wheels fit over the front rotor/Brembo caliper if there are no roller-skates on the pads?
