Even when I had a Mustang, I was amazed by the juvenile crap over there. I didn't make it through the first page of the thread...

Because I didn’t want to buy a Ford and probably never will! I will give Ford credit though about creating high hp small displacement V8 engines such as the 5.0 Coyote that run very well and respond to mods better than the LT1 engine. Of course we are talking about a 4 cammer vs a single cam engine and other differences.

One night I’m hanging out & some guys I never met before were sitting next to me, “There goes another shit-box Mustang.” I said. “What do you have?” Pointed over my shoulder, “That Mustang over there.” The look on his face was priceless. |

I don’t hate the Mustang but I definitely don’t want one. I didn’t care for the lack of low down torque and honestly I didn’t like the look of the interior either. The center counsel throws me off. I also really prefer the seating position and feel of the Camaro. I love the cockpit feel and I’ve never been hampered by the visibility. My car is a weekend toy and not a daily. So all the typical things like room, storage and trunk space means nothing to me. Performance, handling and value does and the 1LE fits me perfectly. |

All that said I do see why people choose the Mustang or Challenger. Not everyone wants the same things in a car. Hard to argue anyone’s rationale behind why they go the route they do.
I read some of the thread on the Mustang forum. Some very legit reasons and of course a few typical tool bags. Lol. |
