Honestly don’t know. I do know my motor came from the bowling green plant. I found the sticker on the intake. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?!?

I guess if you are looking to shave off every pound off the car then okay, yeah it's gotta go, but otherwise, it's not like a speaker that pumps fake sound.

No, but its unnatural unwanted sound and vibration. Can hear all one needs to hear without it, intake sound is audible at wot. There is nothing worse than having air leaks or small holes in the firewall letting in engine bay noises. Besides, the engine bay is cluttered enough, removing that ugly tube, brackets and finishing off the firewall is so nice..
