I've seen videos on how to put back door handles on the camaro 5th gen but never any instructions or videos as to put back door handles on the 6th gen (ss btw) after you have taken it out. My buddy and I took out the handle so it was easier to wrap, when we were done, we tried putting it back on and now it won't. The door handle has a black piece and I can see that there is a silver mechanism inside the door that goes back and forth and that is how the door opens but with the black piece of the door handle behind it. I can't seem to get the black piece behind it and yes I have removed the interior door panel to try to see if I could have at it from the inside but it's all the same. The door handle itself stays in but obviously does not actually open the door. Anybody have any suggestions or a video to point me at?

it's a bitch. When I did it, I literally got a piece of fishing line, put a loop in it, stuck it in over that little metallic latch, "pulled" it out against resistance, slipped in the door handle piece behind it, and then cut off the fishing line. Literally.

My winder tinter can do it in his sleep. I just can't fool with stuff like that.
