Seems like the NT555RIIs are the answer.

Anyone have experience running the G2s up front and the RIIs behind as Nitto advertises, or should I stick with RIIs all around?

I certainly would not run an 555R2 on the front. I would run a good tire that channels water well if you plan to drive it on the street. You can run a G2 up front but its not as good of a tire as as Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or a Continental ExtremeContact Sport.

The Nittos still hook good, drive good, and offer decent tread life. The original 555r I was able to get 7k not easy miles. The 555r2 has even more tread depth so they should go longer. The r888 is hard to beat but they are super noisy so I will stay with 555r2's.

That's how I run them. Perfectly fine, as long as you don't hit any rain with the Goodyears.

I run g2 up front and r2 in the rear...works great.
