You don't buy E50 or E60, you buy E85 and blend in a little 93 octane to get the ethanol content down to the level you're looking for.

You have to mix it. 5 gallons of pump E85 and 5 gallons of pump 93 usually ends up around E50. I know he is showing 70hp but if you mix it lower then you give up a little horsepower. My point was you might have have to mix it down to have sufficient fuel system headroom depending on your mods unless you want to spend the money on fuel system upgrades.

You can lower the percentage by blending E85 with premium or adding E85 to a partial tank of premium.

You also need the flex fuel sensor and most tuners require a wideband sensor so there are some additional hardware costs.

I'm told that the high side fuel pump in the engine block can't flow enough fuel to support an 85% ethanol mix - 60% E is the most flow rate it can support. Ethanol has a lower energy density than gasoline so more volume of ethanol is needed for the same amount of energy created by combusting the fuel.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...3pES9iWDKGAvPT

If you could somehow raise the maximum volumetric flow rate of the high side DI pump then maybe more HP could be had.

You need a flex fuel sensor and a tune to "unlock" those maps in the ECU. The sensor I have has a bluetooth connection to a phone app that reports % ethanol in real time.

Assuming a 19 gallon gas tank capacity, 11 Gallons of E85 and the balance of the tank with 91 octane [((R+M)/2) method for octane reporting and that's the best you can get here in California) yields close to 58% Ethanol.

I went with this kit for the whole setup, install, and tune (minus the CAI as I wanted a stock look): https://ccnorcal.com/2017-2019-camar...age-1-package/

This is the sensor alone: https://ccnorcal.com/2016-2020-v8-ca...flex-fuel-kit/

So I upgrade the fuel delivery system. I was going to do that anyways. Still, about 60-70 horse is pretty amazing for basically not much hardware. So I, like most sane people, are always interested in nice gains without bolting on much.

One of the things I like about the aeroforce gauge I'm using is being able to toggle through the parameters and have it show alcohol content. Pretty handy.

Banks can show you that, plus 7 other data points at the same time with min/max logging and customizable alarms too...

FYI to people also, the Banks module can run 3 separate gauges.

Not sure if you have me mixed up with another member who posted but I am Pro Ethanol...I run it in my car. It would be the first mod I do on any LT platform. I was just giving you the break down of how it works and how lower E percentages still give nice gains while taking a bit of strain off the fuel system.
