You can lower the percentage by blending E85 with premium or adding E85 to a partial tank of premium.
You also need the flex fuel sensor and most tuners require a wideband sensor so there are some additional hardware costs. |

I'm told that the high side fuel pump in the engine block can't flow enough fuel to support an 85% ethanol mix - 60% E is the most flow rate it can support. Ethanol has a lower energy density than gasoline so more volume of ethanol is needed for the same amount of energy created by combusting the fuel.

One of the things I like about the aeroforce gauge I'm using is being able to toggle through the parameters and have it show alcohol content. Pretty handy.

Not sure if you have me mixed up with another member who posted but I am Pro Ethanol...I run it in my car. It would be the first mod I do on any LT platform. I was just giving you the break down of how it works and how lower E percentages still give nice gains while taking a bit of strain off the fuel system.
