GM authority is late to the party. That stuff has been around for a few years now.

I don't see anything there that helps improve the car's, certainly my car's, main problem: traction

Looks like it’s just GM giving these specific parts the ‘licensed’ tag. Would this mean that these could no longer be denied warranty since they’re ‘GM Performance’?

Ya presumably you're getting a factory backed warranty as those parts are available nearly everywhere.

I guess if you want to go slow choose GM, fast go with the aftermarket.

I gave up waiting on GM for the ZL1 upgrades to be released. I would have been ok with 10.0s while keeping warranty. Now quicker, but no warranty.

This is very disappointing they waited till now. It makes you wonder why they didn’t do this in the first place. The would’ve made more revenue in the beginning.

This would be good if you can do this and keep the warranty, but to get headers you must tune the car. Would the dealership do the tune and and we’re they attached to the factory exhaust?

Good question cause when they did the video at Sema a few years ago for the zl1 they said as long as bought and installed by gm you keep the warranty.

I talked to my local dealership about these parts not to long ago and I was told by them that it still voids the warranty unless they were installed a brand new, 0 milage, fresh ink on the papers car.

Just passing on the info I have been told.

That's probably your dealer discouraging you because they're not wanting to deal with it

Gm points you to a performance dealer, which is defferent. The closest one to me is hours away.

Zero mileage LOL... your dealer is clueless.

The Drag Race performance parts that increases HP etc voids warranty no matter how many miles or who does the work.

Suspension or brake parts no issue. Add headers and your drivetrain warranty is gone.

Yes, certain dealers have sign on to be "Performance" dealers and do the installs but as I mentioned the warranty is still void in most cases.

Increase in HP = void drivetrain warranty.
