I didn't know their was a difference in the 1SS and 2SS (for those parts). Is there? They were both padded leather.

Either way, I've driven both and they both felt the same to me and neither were uncomfortable.

I just assumed the 1SS or 1LT had cloth and plastic trim and the 2SS and 2LT had leather. I have a 2 and both my door and center console top are leather. Maybe the 1 is just a cheap knock off with minimal padding. I ordered the knee pads too and glad I did.

It sounds like 2SS and 1SS centre console lids are the same. If they aren't, welp, I have mine up for sale since I just installed the Alcantara Chevrolet Performance one.

Not that I lie my arm on the centre console since I keep both my hands on the wheel 95% of the time, with 4% of douchebag 12 o'clock and 1% shifting.

I put in ZL1 door panels and the Chevrolet performance center console lid. Now everything my skin rests on is suede.

I don't know why you'd do that. Many would do the opposite.

Alcantara/suede is hard to clean and if you think having bare skin on it is a good idea, oh boy...

I just cleaned the Alcantara surface in my car today, and while it's not that bad, it's definitely more work than leather. Then again, my bare skin never touches the Alcantara parts. Laugh at me if you want, but I wear gloves to protect the Alcantara steering wheel and shifter.

Fabric is more comfortable and breathable than leather. Do you wear leather shirts, pants, underwear..?

Use sonax alcantara cleaner and a microfiber towel. It's no harder than using leather conditioner.

Fabric clothes can be tossed into the washing machine easily. Alcantara interiors, not so much.

Yeah I know it's not the worst thing in the world to clean Alcantara but it does have the tendency to soak up oil and sweat. I have a friend with a Hellcat Charger and he said he would have chosen the leather interior but they only had one with Alcantara interior on the lot. He likes the car but never likes the Alcantara parts.

Console arm is long and awkward when lifting it up to put things into the tiny storage. That's my gripe with it.

Hard and uncomfortable? Not to me. Just got back from an 800 mi trip. I was as comfortable as could be. Elbow included. It is leather after all. I'm 5'10, 185.

I am sure you can upgrade thru GMPP to a softer console cover. The 1SS is the base SS. 2SS has more creature comforts.

The center console armrest cover is the same between the 1SS and the 2SS. If someone wants softer padding, I wholeheartedly recommend contacting kropscamaro16 for one

Nope, mine is comfortable.
