Ls7 Lifter & TspVVT3 cam
8kmiles now with the .645/.635 cam. Took it on a roadtrip From texas to LA & back. No issues so far. Just curious when should I replace the ls7 lifters I installed with the cam. I have titanium dual valvesprings so I don’t plan on replacing them till maybe 35k+ miles since those can handle up to .660. Or any recommendations? To keep it reliable with this big cam.

I would go with johnson or morel lifters ls7 lifters are not designed for those spring pressures high lift cams

Depends on what you go with...both Johnson and Morel make drop-in lifters that work with factory trays.

I’m gonna go ahead and say if it sounds and runs ok, don’t touch it. Ideally you run the appropriate lifter from the start but no way I’d tear into it until first signs of an issue. Plenty of ls7 lifter cars out there surviving.

I just started learning more about internals. I don’t want the ls7 lifters failing on me and then it breaks my cam or something. Was hoping maybe someone with better knowledge than me would know if im fine or not fine. Its stock 6500rpm limit so it’s nothing excessive.
