Biggest tire for front wheels?

Hello guys, just ordered some 305/35/20 nitto nt555R for my stock rear wheels. Others on the forums have said they fit perfectly fine. I’m now debating on which tire size I’ll need for the front wheels. Can I run a 265/35/20? Or a 255/35/20 is just fine? Preferably looking for nitto tires in the front as well thanks

I'm running 285/30ZR20's on the front with MRR M228 20x10 wheels. I've made no modifications, and have no rubbing.

I’m running a 275/35/20 in the nitto nt555’s up front and 305 rear, no issues with either size rubbing.

255/40/20 is a decent size upgrade for the fronts. 305 in the back is not ideal for stock wheel.

265/35 Nitto 555 G2’s fit fine on stock SS fronts. 10k trouble free miles on mine.

Just because it fits doesnt mean its fine or will be fine in the long run, running 305s on 9.5" wheels just isnt smart, and is way below the minimum recommended size for that tire width. 10.5" is the minimum for a reason, it'll compromise your sidewall strength otherwise.

I know this is an old thread but I assume it is a 265/35/20. Are you sure it was a 35? That's the same I want to run but dont want to have a rubbing issue and waste $ on tires that won't work.

Use this calculator. There's a tab that you can compare tire specs: https://tiresize.com/calculator/

FYI... the 315/30R20 is almost exactly the same diameter as the stock 275/35 tire. Unless you're looking for a taller sidewall, the 315/30 will keep your speedo accurate.

I use to run a 275/35R20 front until I stepped up a size to 285/30R20. No issues with either tire. Just make sure to use the correct offset

What offset did you use? I have a 20 offset in front. If I could use that size it would be great without rubbing.
