2019 ZLE Tail Light swap

So I have a 2019 ZLE and got the Morimoto Aventador Style tails but I’ve been reading online that a couple people say the bumper has to come off to remove the tail lights? I contacted Morimoto and their rep first told me the lights won’t even work for the car LOL, then he’s said they will but they don’t have a install guide for 2019+ (great sell a product without a install guide)

Anyone removed their tails on a 2019 ZL1 / 1LE?

Won't it look odd because the 19+ have the grooves in the bumper under the tail lights?

Also, they do make install guides for the 2016-2018 cars because that's what the lights were originally intended for. The 2019+ don't have really any aftermarket lights out for them because its more complicated to make anything that looks good with that protrusion right below the housing.

I honestly didn’t even think about the bump and now I’ve asked my friend at GM and it says the bumper needs to be removed for the swap plus after all that the hump might look stupid or who knows once I even get that far

Haven’t people swapped the lights from 18 to 19 and vice versa before though? That bump hopefully shouldn’t matter just a pain having to take off the rear bumper to remove the Tails on 19+ (confirmed from my friend at GM)

The rear fascia on the 2019 would have to be changed to the 2016-2018 because of the different design of the taillights on the 2019.

I’m almost curious if anyone has tried to see how they’d even fit up. Might be worth a shot since it’s that or sell them now, upsetting I really liked the LED Sequential look

I do not believe they will fit. I think those are for 16-18 only.

Yeah, that is defiantly the 2018 style plug. I was asking what the plug on the 2019 looked like. Maybe its the same? You would still need a different bumper, but if you really wanted the lights, that shouldn't be to hard.
