Morning all
I am working towards getting a Whipple kit for my baby while I am away and have been looking into supporting parts. Is there anyone who makes a coilpack cover or something to fit with a supercharged engine? The factory cover removal leaves a lot of engine exposed and I want to neaten the engine bay up. Thanks |

Taking the coil covers off, lowered my running temp to 180 degrees.

I wouldn't run them, it looks better raw and wicked plus the covers hold heat and don't let it escape as easy. Just buy a cool set of valve covers and change those when you put the blower on. I used the Speed Engineering Billet Aluminum.

stalker in my honest opinion if your going to do it relocate the coils it looks so much neater and old school and you get to see the whole covers. It is a pain in the arse to relocate though im still trying to find information on it but its not that plentiful.

Would like to see someone post that has done this. The only place is the wheel wells and then there is not much space, especially on the passenger side.

I've been running mine without coil covers for 6 months without issue. Has anyone else done this? Is there a downside to not using the coil covers? I just assumed it would help reduce cylinder temperatures

yup... no coil covers here either with the Whipple 3.0
Stock valve covers, no relocation kit for coils. Katech makes some nice valve covers but they $$$

Josh, Adam
Coil covers, valve covers, whatever you want. I'm certain they have a purpose which is probably to keep out oil, debris, etc. but to me, they must also retain heat, which is Enemy #1. Anyway, it has been suggested that I put mine back on and I didn't want to feel like the Lone Ranger by leaving them off.
