1st gear 0 mph rev-limiter

I have a 2017 ZL1 M6, with the car in 1st gear at 0 mph the engine will not rev over 4000 rpm, anyone else experience this problem? If yes were you able to solve this problem?

Why do you need to rev over 4000rpm when stopped?

It's not problem per se ... just safety.
I don't think these cars by default rev over 4K while stationary.
They only exceed that RPM limit while being driven / under load.

I've seen many cars that have an rpm limiter while in park or at 0mph. This is pretty common nowadays.

All manufacturers have started to implement a "soft rev" in certain cars so that us owners won't "damage" our cars or as a noise concern.

Nothing wrong with your car. Just Chevrolet, like other manufacturers, intervening with our cars.
