As far as visual cues, the 1le does have 1le badging on the brake calipers and below the fog lights venting its all black where as a non 1le ss has a chrome strip under the fog light.

Does it have leather seats? That, combined with presence of the HUD, could make it a 2SS that's been reworked.

RPO codes are likely your best bet here as a 2SS will have PTM as well - check near where they spare would be in the trunk, under the carpeted cover.
Iv'e never heard of a non 1le 2ss having all of the ptm modes, aren't those elsd exlcusive?. So your car has wet, dry, sport1 sport2, and race when you double tap TC in Track mode?

PTM is 1LE/ZL1 only. 2SS doesn't have the eLSD.

Yes, screw up on my part by allowing my thinking to stop short of actual PTM and end at Driving Modes (which the 2SS does have).

Interesting.
I wonder if there is a difference due to the Canadian market.

Those rear tires look kind of small.

Also they told me that at the time this car was purchased the 1LE was divides in two packages : 1LE performance package (which this car does) and the 1LE track package (which I assume is the aero and PDR).

So I guess this is like a 1/2 1LE. At least it's got everything I really want and I love that car which is what matters. I can deal without the PDR and add a spolier and splitter later.
Something looks off with the rear tire size (too small) in relation to the wheel. As well, it looks like they cheaped out and installed ZETA tires (at least that’s how it appears).

Yes, the previous owner traded it in with cheap tires and probably kept the good ones. The dealership will put a new set of proper tires

Absolutely not! I had a 17 and the order list was the same on both US and Cdn websites. Zero difference!

There is no such thing as "1LE Performance Package" and "1LE Track Package" and never was. 1LE is 1LE and always has been ONE package. Period. Full stop.
There is something funny going on here and i would not touch this car with a 10 foot pole!

And yes, the tires are very small on the rim and the sidewall says "zeta" on them. No idea what they are, but they look like junk on those rims.

To the OP: find another car and make it a REAL 1LE - you wont regret it. Somebody has messed with this car and even that list from a dealer makes little sense and lists items this car does NOT have. Run like hell!

OP: go on GM Canada website and build a 1SS then check what 1LE package includes. It is a long list, which has not changed since day 1. There is tons more to ot than just a spoiler and a splitter This car is a simple 1SS made look a bit like an 1LE. Who knows, the rims could be repros. The last place you want to rely on is a dealer that tries to sell ya a used car...

OP: read the first sentence on that paper you got from a dealer, under Codes. This is NOT and official doc for this VIN, but rather a list of codes FOR SERVICING purposes.
It it printed right there black on white!

Might be a 1LE might not, but something is up with the car. Wreck rebuild is what is coming to my mind.

The GM Global Connect information should be legit and all of the RPO codes match up to being an SS 1LE. I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that it's not a real 1LE based on that.

The dealer specific list with things like "winter protection package", etc. is BS and I wouldn't really rely on that for anything.

To the OP: If you send socialmedia@gm.com your VIN and request the full build sheet with all of the RPO codes, they will usually respond with this info in less than 24hr. It looks to me like the original owner removed the spoiler, splitter, and Recaros based on the pics and your feedback. I personally would not buy the car based on its condition, but it does look like a real 1LE based on the info you provided.
