Thanks for the honest review.

Btw, what happened after 500 miles?
Totally agree, but it was very quiet at cruise with no drone.

I was referring to part & WOT.

I traded it in yesterday for a ZL1.

What also happens after 500 miles is the exhaust will start mellowing out once the inside bits get covered in soot.

The part where my car is also a non-NPP makes your feedback particularly relevant for me.

Nothing against FM, but their systems are typically not engineered to the extent seen at Borla(working and tuning their systems specific to each car).

There will be no drone at all, and you will only love it more as time goes on, that's a promise. Just choose which you want, but I agree that the s-type is the best.

Congrats on the ZL1 gtfoxy! What a machine. And yes, at WOT/hard acceleration I do wanna hear her scream

And I definitely agree with you ST1LE. It seems like Borla (and Corsa too for that matter) really goes the extra mile in engineering their exhausts to be perfect. This is one of those "you get what you pay for" situations.

I have a Borla Atak catback. In stealth mode it's actually decently quiet. Especially if you keep the RPMs down. I'd say it's a bit quieter than running around in track mode on the stock NPP. But definitely louder than stock NPP in stealth. But during a startup the first 5 seconds are wake your neighbors if they are light sleepers loud. Then after about 10 seconds maybe it slowly mellows down. So if your area is able to put up with a little bit of sounds for 5-15 seconds it should be fine.

Oh and to add on the conversation above. Atak system, no drone whatsoever. I used to have a muffler delete setup that droned like crazy, and a friend with a FM muffler. Both drone and have weird resonance at certain RPMs. With the Borla's it's totally smooth and droneless through out the entire powerband. Went on a few road trips with it and wife didn't complain and she's sensitive to drone.
