Bolt ons, am I missing anything here?

Speaking with a shop about doing some basic bolts and this is the path(s) they provided. Wondering if this is decent or am I missing anything:

- Already have a rotofab.

- 2.3 Upper Pulley
- Nick Williams 103mm Throttle Body
- 1 7/8" Texas Speed stainless long tube headers with connection pipes and O2 sensor extensions.
- Brisk Spark Plugs.
- MSD wires.
- Dyno Tune.

Now, he did mention since he has to take the blower off for the pulley, it would be a good opportunity to ship it off to Kong so they can port it / press the pulley there (same price).

Checks the boxes, I think. Hope they are giving you a competitive price.

Does NOT need a lower, if he’s already changing out the upper.

You can do a Kong port/2.175 or 2.30 griptec upper and an ATI super damper 15% lower.

That is what I was going to do suggestions of tuner but now going different route as I dont want to deal with high temps

That’s your suggestion with no other additional fuel mods? That’s way to much just saying.

Maybe your correct just remembering what the performance shop was suggesting I do. Which I'm going a different way and also to Jannetty. I'm more of a road corse guy then a drag strip so looking for more efficient package.

But im sure not a bad idea adding an ATI super damper

You will be in great hands with JRE, always enjoyed working with Ted.

I already know that Ted would of told this guy to skip the upper and do the 15% ATI lower. Ted has never been a fan of the upper pulley because of the possible belt slip. LoL Ted would also throw in voltage booster thing. He knows all the little tricks

You need to think about additional fuel, on the stock blower with stock boost you can run up around e50-60 fuel before the fuel system is maxed out. Just a intake and flex fuel tune (stock boost) make an additional 60-100whp and ftlbs at the wheels. You start changing pulleys and adding boost your fuel system suffers even more maybe get away with e40 at most, The other thing is if your planning on sticking to pump gas like 91/93 octane you’re going to be octane limited unless you run methanol. A cam with a bigger lobe that drives the HPFP will most likely be needed esp if you port the blower IMO.

We usually go with a lower balancer upgrade over the upper blower pulley upgrade. If you want to go past a 2.3 (9%) you need to mill the snout down and then belt slip can be an issue. A ATI or IW balancer can get you to 20% overdrive if you want to spin the blower harder down the road. Although if you aren't looking to spin it much harder the upper is an easier swap.

The 103mm throttle body is a big seller for us but we usually don't recommend it until you port the snout (or complete blower). The inlet behind the throttle body is still just 90mm so the 103 won't gain much until that is opened up.

Well, I was kind of concerned about the upper as it seems no one really goes with those. Not to mention, if I do that upper/port the sc it will make it more annoying to go back to stock. Also, I am thinking if I want to do cam/2650 in the future it will be wasted money.
