Thanks. Looks like I will be part of the longevity crowd. I have nothing to prove and am not chasing a number.

Really liking the Katech Torquer cam too. It does have some stout lift though. Maintains VVT and no loss of bottom end..

Katech warranties 36,000 miles with LS7 lifters / PSI 1511 beehive springs and their torquer cams on complete engine packages. That means they believe it should last at least this mileage...

And those lifters are nothing special. I think it’s worth spending good money on a proper valvetrain. Trunions/rockers are pretty important for valvetrain stability. Especially if you’re constantly turning it up. Looks like BTR has some similar cams to Cam Motion's.

I built my engine for 100K, change springs at 50K. Cam Motion sub .600 lift, Johnson lifters , they are .045 taller than LS7 lifters, so probably going to need LS7 pushrods which are 7.800 or .050 shorter than LT1 pushrods. On my car the Johnson lifter and LS7 pushrods put the plungers at .75 preload or near center of travel. I'll let the crowd talk about .35 preload or . 135 (for near solid). I'm just thankful the Johnson are not only quality they have a BOAT LOAD of travel .215. It is V ERY hard to screw up on that. At least I hope so.

Thanks Oldman. That's pretty much the route I will probably go. I would also do the trunion upgrade on the rockers unless someone makes a rocker that is truly an upgrade. Funny how similar the cam specs are for a LSX with the same desires. I'm also thinking I would want the .625 lift valve springs. Don't get why folks would use 660-700 lift springs with a 600 lift cam. I know there is also a TON more to a cam that lift, duration, and LSA. That's why I'll be talking with Pray when that day comes. DCR, lobe ramp type, etc.
