Seems like everyone else has already give you suggestions on how to paint the rims black. So, I figured I'd attack a different issue.

For the red outline, I would get something like this after the black dries.
Perfect video because the person is using it on the same tire you have, and on the same car as well.

My only concern is that it MAY be a problem if you have to take the tires off. But, I'm not sure and I believe it'll be fine if you are careful. Product is about $30

Note: 2016 - 2018 standard rims are slightly different from 2019+ SS rims, but it shouldn't be a problem.

Dip your car plasti dip. Just take the wheel off one by one and spray them. Pretty easy and they have good videos showing you what to do if you don’t wanna remove the wheel entirely.

You can paint them yourself using off the shelf spray paint, wheel paint or even specialty body shop deluxe paint. The key is sanding and prep. And it is better to take the tires off, in which case there is cost to dismount them, re-mount and balance them as well.

You can also go to a body shop and ask them to professionally paint them or powder coat them as already suggested.

I wanted to do this on my past Mazdaspeed 3- go from silver to black. I priced out powder coat and a body shop just painting them. Maybe it's a matter of finding someone that wants the business to do it on the less expensive side- the estimates I was getting from shops around here was more than buying new black wheels. I also investigated painting them myself and it was a lot of work and I was worried about chipping. I have not had good luck with caliper painting- mainly chipping paint.

Based on my experience, if you want professional results it's going to cost almost as much as new wheels. I'd opt for new wheels.

I have always been of the thinking that I have spent this much on the car already, don't go cheap now. Get it done and do it right. Either have someone who knows what they are doing do it (and pay for it) or buy a new set (and pay even more for it).

Powder coating. Don't plastidip them. I've seen a lot of wheels that were plastidipped and ended up peeling and looked terrible.

Another thing I believe worth mentioning is that if this is your daily driver that sees rain, snow, salt, etc...forget the plastidip route. Been there and done that

I picked up a set of takeoffs from a guy on FB marketplace for $200 and had them powder coated black. I believe that is the most durable finish you can put on a wheel.

I also used the stripe it all kit but i went for a 3M reflective white stripe.

I would just buy the exact wheels that are on the car in the picture you posted. I think you would be disappointed in your end results trying to black out your existing wheels. The wheels in the second picture have some aluminum accents and are just a better looking wheel than what is on your car presently. Save your money up and spulrge on the newbies!

I will agree with this. Plasti Dip looks great for a few months until it starts to peel. Been there done that. Just pay a little bit more for powder coating your stock wheels or buying some take offs. You will thank us all later

Nice! For some reason it kinda reminds me of KITTs wheels.

Powder coat is much more durable and not that expensive.

If it were me, I would PlastiDip the wheels "now" and run them for a little while. It's cheap enough to do, even if it doesn't come out perfect or last a long time. This gives you an opportunity to actually have the blackout of the wheels that you're looking for quickly and at low cost, and you get to decide if you really want it that way or not.

If you like how it turns out, you can either re-dip as need be and stay on the cheap with something that can be "undone", or wait until you find someone that will powder coat for a more reasonable cost. Or, maybe you can find another set of SS wheels (or even something different style-wise) that you can get for cheap and have THOSE powder coated.

There are a lot of different ways you can go with this. Start with easy and cheap to get a sense of what you might want as a more permanent solution and then move into something more expensive.
