Looking for some info on headers

I plan on installing headers in a couple of weeks.
Planned on going with these https://www.texas-speed.com/p-5889-t...ad-x-pipe.aspx

Any comments positive or negative towards these? Is price point correct or can I get it cheaper elsewhere?

I read on here that the other two options are kooks and ARH. I would rather save some money if there isn't a large performance difference between the brands so I can spend it on other mods.

Just the headers and the pipe that stops at about the seat. Not sure the technical name. Did not want to do whole exhaust, want to keep the Active valves and not paying an arm an a leg for the new corsa one lol.

The complaint I read most often on the corvette forum was some inconsistency in construction and fitment. Whereas the KOOKS and ARH were better fitting, better welds, etc. Saving a few dollars might cost more in aggravation.

I was also shopping around for headers and midpipes and I decided to not go cheap on headers and midpipes because of fitment. I did not want to deal with headers hitting the steering shaft etc. I decided to go with ARH and I will be sending them out to Swaintech Coatings.

Just my opinion but spend a little more and get USA made and great quality. Also ARH will weld a bung if you need it for your wideband.

Good call. Dynatech is also American made and stainless construction, so along with ARH and Kooks you have 3 good choices.

I appreciate all the input, I decided to stick with Texas speed. Will see what happens, hopefully there are no quality issues with fitment. I did not want the 2" ones. I am also getting a flex fuel kit installed. and obviously tuned. Will keep you guys posted with results for those that are curious. Parts should be in probably next week. I am expecting everything completed in the next 3 weeks.

Why is no one talking about the CSP headers, didn't they spend a ton of time getting them built correctly to fit?

I'll certainly be going with CSP headers when the time comes...

I also look at the CSP headers but I couldn't seem to find any midpipes to match to there headers. I was look for high-low cats. There headers come with a catless pipe.

Texas Speed has been making Camaro headers for years with few, if any, issues. You should not run into any fitment or quality problems. Only real issue is that they are not American-made. That’s why they’re a fraction of Stainless Works, ARH or Kooks prices. And this is coming from someone who ran SW on their SS.

Now there's a nice touch.

I've always had ARH but never asked about that.
