A couple of things: If you have an hex theft lug on each wheel, replace those. Torque each lug to 140 pound feet. Do this while cold.
Take your torque wrench with you and check your lugs when things cool down, at least once during your day. Take an air pump and pressure gauge. Start with the pressure at ~28 psi. Check often during the day. You may have to let air out more than once. The pump is to air the tires back up, after cooling, for the drive home. Keep your gas tank level higher. They should sell 93 octane gas at the track. Expect ~4-5MPGH and you may need gas more than once (don't know about numbers and lengths of sessions). I tend to pop the hood to assist with cooling when in the paddock. Others will offer differing opinions on doing this. Your mileage may vary.

My tire wear has been fine with the SS 1LE track alignment (-2.4° front camber, -1.6° rear, zero toe) with a mix of driving around locally and track days plus driving up to 3-6 hours each way on the highway to/from some tracks. I actually may add more camber but I usually average at least 1 track day every 2 months. I believe you can get above -3° front camber on the ZL1 1LE which will definitely benefit you on track but could cause the inside of your front tires to wear out too soon if you do a lot more street driving than track driving.
For the oil you are probably fine to save the oil you drain and reuse it for up to 4 track hours (15W-50) and up to 1 year (0W-40) if you are careful not to let any debris get in it while draining. I have had good luck with this drain pan. I don't have to switch oil weights for the track but I think 2 of them would work well for storing oil to swap. https://www.autozone.com/shop-and-ga..._0?spps.s=6107 |

Almost forgot, take the water deflector off on the underside of the hood and have you installed the power steering air diverter?

And yes I know I need to remove the little water deflectors. I'll get that done for sure.

Also sometimes track 93 is a lot more expensive than going to a local gas station a few miles away but it depends on the track and idk about GSS. On site 93 gas at MSRC, ECR, & NOLA is fairly reasonable. It is expensive at MSRH and probably COTA.
Some people will even bring extra fuel in 5 gallon containers but that's mainly for E85. |

Gas Pains. I burned 74 gallons @$3.48 per in two days at VIR this week. 275 miles on track. Need to fill up between every session. That's a lot of 5 gallon jugs.....
