Best Cooling Mod

Looking for a cooling upgrade. I think the interchiller might be the most effective. But not into cutting any part of my car to install. Hopefully my fellow forum buddies could voice some opinions. Doing a lower pulley swap to 9.17 and wanted to keep things cool.
Cordes expansion tank front mount
Cordes trunk mount
Meth
Intercooler
Or any other that anyone else has used with success

My opinion it's Meth. Larger tanks are good for drag racing because you can add ice to them between runs but on the street they just add capacity so things will still get hot, it will just take longer. Intercoolers like from Weapon X may work. There center intercooler has larger surface area which will probably keep things cooler but I don't have personal experience. I run Meth and I love it. Aids in cooling when you need it at WOT.

Well said my friend. I too am siding with meth to keep it cool. It's safe and effective

I went with meth and the Cordes Expansion tank.

I have heard good things about Snow Performance Methanol injection kits.

I’m running dual nozzle Alky Control with a 2 gallon tank. I feel it should be plenty for my application. I only do a few pulls a week so it should last a long time. I have a 5 gallon pail of meth in the garage. Pretty sure it’ll last me a couple of months.

Prometh!
CSP actually uses their parts ...most importantly you want to use their nozzles and pump. No one on the market has a pump surviving 100% meth usage on their pump like Prometh has.

So to sum it up you can use CSP(PA) or RPM(Delaware) to order a meth kit since they both use the Prometh parts.

I can't see you having any problems if your just doing the lower 9.17, Headers, TB, and CAI if your just driving to work or out and about on the weekend and you happen onto a 458, mustang, ect... you will be fine.

I live in Houston its 100 degrees and 80% or better humidity I never had a problem with that setup.. If your going to the track a lot then ya add meth or ice tank. If your going street racing at 2am in the morning and running everyone and there brother meth, exchanger, and ice tank.

If your doing track events and want a little more I'd port the blower, headers, and TB along w a larger exchanger vs turning the blower faster.

I think it depends on what you want to do!

The meth is gonna do more than just cool.. Don't forget when you add meth there is some risk..

If I understand this right, if you spray post rotors, the water meth Does not cool the supercharger at all, but rather just cools the cylinders and reduces any potential knock or pulled timing, but What do you think of spraying pre-rotors in order to cool the supercharger better and combat any potential heat soak from spinning a small supercharger faster?

While I’ve heard this is not good for the internals of the supercharger long-term, I assume this would still have all the benefits of spraying post SC rotors (cooling cylinders and reducing any knock or pulled timing) as well as cool the SC?

Pre rotors.. 99% are doing this setup(notice the brass elbows just before the TB in the intake elbow in most of the builds) they are having great success. It's around 2k savings.. 4k over the lingenfelter fuel system, 10k on XDI system, and 3 or 4k over port injection. I assume the NX lid sprays over the bricks down into the intakes at the same rate for each cylinder. it has some cooling effect just probably not as good as pre plus it costs more for the lid and plumbing. The other added benefits of both setups is the octane ceiling is rasied.

The fuel system is the most important part of making power I can see people using meth to cool and fuel it's cheaper. there's nothing wrong with this but there are more risks, more hassles keeping the tank full, and so on.

Yes there has been some people complaining of the meth eating coatings off rotors no one has done any testing that I know of to see how much boost pressure is lost or extra heat is generated. The coating is there for a reason mainly so they can run closer contact w less heat.

It also hasn't proven but I can't see how ball bearings would benefit from being in a pressurized setting that alcohol could penetrate through a sealed bearing. Those seals are thin and cheap if u have any experience w bearings you would see where I'm going w this.

After 5 builds and since I use my car everywhere I focus reliability and convenience even if it's more expensive. If it was a 1/4 mile car like all the maggi guys that f$%^ with me I'd probably go cheap since chasing that time slip isnt cheap and things break.
