No idea, I would assume that they're trying to sell out the 2020s to make room for 21s.

2020.....

2021.....

And when I add the RS package, the grille and tail lights don't change at all on the rendering, so I'm a bit skeptical about how accurate this build tool really is
That's weird. I'm going to check the source difference on that later.

Chevy seems to use the build image as a reference from my experience. A camaro can have two spoilers optioned, and decklid usually overrides the more expensive one. That's not in all cases though if you option right, but it does happen.

Nope, it's the same. Compared it against the 2020 build images I had saved and it's identical.

The rebate doesn’t apply to 2021 models.

So, can I still order one as a 2020, or will it automatically make it a '21 at this point? I don't care about any of the new 2021 options, so if I can save $1500 and order what I want as a '20 with the rebate, that's a no brainer

Unfortunately, you can no longer order 2020 camaros as production ended last week. However, I believe that the rebate will return later on like it has previous years, but don't take my word for it. Some dealers may rebate on the lot as well.

Short Answer; no rebate for 21... yet...

There are plenty of ‘20s in now in transit to dealers, so you still may be able to find what you want. Of course, you can’t tell how many are sold orders, but Chevy.com shows more than 4,000 ‘20 Camaros in the pipeline now. Dealers are also offering GM Supplier Pricing to everyone, and they’re starting to look at the end of the fun-car season in a month or so (and not wanting to hold Camaros through the winter), so it’s a good time to buy a car.

I agree that the ‘21s will get a rebate, but it won’t happen until the ‘20s are pretty well sold out. With everything going on in the world right now and Chevy wanting to wind down the Camaro, it’s impossible to predict what’s going to happen.

Yeah, they definitely don't have the bugs worked out of the 2021 configurator yet.

Okay, so they did change that as well as the back bumper in the 2021 year. Also, the LT1 RS render is pretty broken, so I made my own just for the sake of it.

Fingers cross that they fix it because it's pointless to not know what the car you're trying to buy looks like.
