You're talking about a ~7lb weigh reduction. This would be more of a benefit for airflow for track use. I think that's why it was removed on the GT4.R.

I agree with this. And I really don’t think the additional airflow is worth the trade off on a ZL1. Mine runs perfectly cool on the track in stock form at 90+ degrees ambient temp.

You could get the same weight reduction from a giant poop before the track day...

if you remove that, wouldn't a minor fender bender end up being a big one?
