At .05* at each front, that equals .1* total toe out. On the 305/30-19 front, .1* is .046" or 1.1mm.

Wanted to get spherical bearings, etc for my C6Z, but upgraded to the ZLE. I assumed the ZLE had very little compliance, at least small enough to not have significant change in camber/toe during loading. Have any ZLE owners gone to spherical bearings? |

However I thought I recalled ZL1 1LE owners also complaining about wear on the insides of their tires, and cording the insides before the outsides. Don't quote me on that though. Someone else more knowledgeable will hopefully respond to this

I'll post pics after my track day August 8th, I'm sure the front tires will have corded by then since that will be the equivalent of their 3rd full track day.

Toe out should induce more inner tire wear. Be careful.

I had bad luck with toe out. I set mine up for .06 total toe in (pos toe) for my first track day and the right front wore the inside aggressively. I rotated left to right and the right front wore aggressively again on the fresh inside of the rotated tire. The left front wore well over all. This was a right handed track. Followup alignment check showed that the suspension "settled" and the toe changed to total toe out to about .1*. I have read that others have had trouble with the suspension "settling" during the first track day also. My next plan is to go total toe .1 pos (toe in) and I may put less camber in the right front to help with better heat distribution across the right tire.

Following up. Did a track alignment on a hunter rack. Went home and checked the toe using the string method. It was set at .1* toe in and the string showed the actual toe to be zero. So I set the front toe to 1.5mm toe in total and set the left front at -3.1 camber and the rt front at .2.6. Left front tire pressure worked good at 41 and rt front at 40 hot. Rears were -2.1 camber and total toe at 1mm. rear tire pressure was at 33-34 to get good heat gradient across the tire. The fronts were new and rears had about 230 miles of track use prior the the current setup. I got on track two days ago for about 100 miles total. I got better wear but I can still see the very inside edge of the fronts getting scrubbed. Attached pics below show fronts at half day rotation and then all four at the end of the track day. The car worked great and I was 4 seconds faster than my well prepped 500 RWHP c5. I will change front toe to 2mm total for the next day to see what happens.

my "2016" half price 3Rs were produced in the 50th week of 2017 and the 22nd week of 2018. Those tires weren't produced until the 2018 ZL1 1LE was slated for production.
