Update on the new Mt et street ss. I hate them. Hook excellent but the car is squirrelly under heavy accel and high speed. Maybe the softer sidewall. I will save them for track on another set of wheels.

I'm on 285 PS4S square setup and unless your clutch dumping, from roll, they are great tires. Quiet and long lasting.. not something I would ever think I woudl say with 650 ft-lbs torque beating on them daily - or precovid daily, now.. eh.

Thanks for the info everyone. The car is parked on rainy days or as soon as the temp dips below 50.
Back to the truck for bad weather. |

I installed PS4s earlier this year, went with 305s all the way around with APEX 19x11 all the way around. I thought I would lose a lot of traction under WOT but I really can hardly tell a difference and sometimes they grip better. The stock ZLE GYs can be super slick when cool obviously, by design. I can't speak for the PS4s cooler temp handling but I'm happy so far.

On track I noticed a big difference switching from 325 to 315 rear tires. When you're on track pushing the limits of grip with a ZLE, you need the full benefit of the wide and sticky GY 3Rs--or at least go stickier (Hoosier/Pirelli slicks) or bigger (Kumho V720 355). From my experience trying different tires, the 3R is engineered to handle the weight of the ZLE much better than other proven track tires. PSC2 should be 315/345, and if you run Hoosier R7 beware of dangerous overheat issues on high speed banking like NASCAR Roval tracks. |

There you go. I friend of mine who is a serious racer recommended them for my car in Denver! These cars are grip challenged in warm states on dry pavement much less in Denver.

AS3 for near all season.
PS4 for summer with good rain performance SC3 for a step above that with better track ability but less rain tolerance MP SC2 for even more track capability but less street ability than PS4 SC3R for best track ability that is still street legal but poor cold weather or rain tolerance R888R for autocross or any time you need immediate grip with little/no warm up, but don’t care about ride or noise or wet performance |
