Today all cars must have the same design of pull for up/push for down. Not that long ago each mfg could have their own power window switch design, and the ones like Ford used to have which were an oval rocker switch you pushed for either direction also resulted in injuries or deaths with people inadvertently pushing the “up” side while a part of their body was out the window. Modern window motors are a lot smaller, lighter weight, and use less current too. If you ever took a door panel of cars off from the early 2000s or older, you’d see how big and heavy the power window motors (and door lock solenoids) were. They were pretty big and heavy and pulled a lot of current. If you rolled your windows up just on accessory mode without the engine running you’d see your dashboard lights dim out as the window rolled up. Those things could cut tree branches. |

That’s another reason power windows have to go through the ECM now. |

Disappointed to see no Magneride for the V6 model. Since GM invented it you would think they would use it to their strategic advantage, but nope. It wasn’t even available on the ATS except for the premium RWD model, which made no sense since AWD is common in the snow belt where roads are worse due to the winters.
If Ford can offer Magneride on the EcoBoost Mustang when they have to pay licensing fees then it should be easy for GM to offer it across the Camaro line. |

The fact that it's available on ANY trim level of a Chevy-badged vehicle is surprising to me. |
