I am hoping someone has a kit with a properly modified intake to fit over the HPFP and a map extension harness so no cutting is required. I would pay $250 for the kit.

I wonder if the throttle response/feel is any different.

Also, this basically knocks out the MSD as an option, doesn't it? I mean, if you can buy this for $200 why even bother?

It has half the power delay of the msd, which is good, but looks like it carries up top like the msd.

It depends on the setup. For a bolt-on car that probably holds water especially for the price, but keep in mind the MSD picks up a substantial amount in ported form. Also with a good Heads/Cam setup, a ported MSD is going to carry the power better up around 7k rpm.

there really is not much to port on the MSD, there is a need to develop some soft of plastic filler when the parts are glued together to make it smoother. I may try two part epoxy, I open to ideas.

Looks like the LT2 intake has basically the same power curves as with the LT1 intake up to around 5500, where the LT2 picks up ~10-15 from there.

I would assume that as well. You can see the lt2 ever so slightly slope downward as it hits redline where the msd is flat as a pancake. Not enough to make a difference under 6500rpm but just using that tidbit to make the assumption that on a cam’ed car revving way past 7,000 the msd will likely be stronger. Lt2 intake looks like the winner on a bolt on and likely a street focused h/c shifting at 7,000.

I wonder if this will lower the price of the MSD?

Hard to compete with a $200 price tag. I do suspect the price of the LT2 intake will go up due to demand.
