As Josh mentioned, Nitto's have always ran narrow from my experience so you can shift the recommend wheel width rating to the left a 1/2". They should be rated 9.5-10-10.5". No way I would put this tire on a 11" wheel it would look stretched like a rubber band. 315's would be a must.
Here is a good read...This tire size is popular in the Hell Cat community. https://www.hellcat.org/threads/hell...ck-rims.51993/

So I got 2 of the 305 35 20s 555 IIs in today and they are by no means small. tread width is over 11 inches and the bead measures 11 and 3/4s. So they are on the big side for these and I think the 555s were smaller for sure. Tey look good I will try to post some pics later

So I ordered these in a 305/35R20 from ebay thinking I could cancel the order. I then happen to find that Discount has them cheaper and they are only charging $20 for install and I can't find anyone around here that will install for close to that.
So I ended up ordering them from Discount in a 275/35R20 since after thinking about it I decided to be safe and order the stock tire size, even though I know I will probably regret it since the Nittos seem to be undersized and look narrow when mounted. I know a bunch of people on this forum have run the 305/35R20 on stock SS wheels and say they fit really good even though Nitto recommends not to according to their specs. Apparently I can return the ebay ones, but im sure there will be some fine print somewhere saying I have to pay shipping back and it will probably be $100s. So I may have to keep them until I can use them (hoping they will fit on the stock SS wheels like the regular 555R). Maybe I can get both side by side so we can compare them. |

I am going to replace my Goodyear’s tomorrow with the Nitto555r2 305/30r20. The Goodyear’s were horrible at the drag strip. If all goes well I will be at the track tomorrow night and let you know how they worked.

Here they are, 305/35R20 W speed rated (I thought they were higher speed rated but apparently not):
I am tempted to try to get someone to mount one for me and I can measure the fit-up on car, but I wouldn't want to mess it up and not be able to return them. I have never seen the 555R in person so I can't compare whats different. |

I put the Nitto555r2 305/30r20 on a 20x11 aftermarket rim. I had heard a few talking about rubbing issues on a 305/35 tire, so I didn’t want to chance it. I didn’t get to go to the track last night. But did try and get a couple runs from a dead stop, and no burn out or warm up on the tire. From a dead stop I had about a quarter second of slight spin Out of first and no other issues. I purposely throttled it to see what they would do, no letting off the gas. The 60 time was a 4.3 twice in a row. Hope that helps.

I have the 8 speed auto. I was on Highway that was not ideal for a great launch, and just smashed the throttle straight down. I was basically giving the tire the worst scenario with no prep. I would say they performed much better than the Goodyear radials I had. I am guessing with a little roll, heating the tires, or throttle control they will hook up with no spin.
