AC fans dont work
so I have a 2017 2LT and I noticed something yesterday that I didnt notice in the 2 years Ive had the car. As you know the temperature controls on the AC are dials you turn on the fans located near the stick shift. so when the ac is on and I hav the fans speed turned all the way up as well as defrost from and rear on (or off) when I turn the dial to lower or raise the temperature I feel NO air coming from those fans at all. This didnt use to be the case. So I thought maybe the fans died... but whats the likilhood of both dying at the same time?
So I pressed the AUTO button next to AC then you can ear and feel ALL the fans in the car blowing on all cylinders (even fans I didnt even notice the car had lol) so that proves the fans DO work.. but when I turn AUTO back off those fans again stop blowing, the only air that is blowing is coming from the dashboard wear Im guessing the defrost is. How do I get the other fans (mainly the two near the stick shift) to blow when Im not using Auto? |

There is just one fan in there - they use two blend doors to give you a different temp on each side. When you push the fan up/down buttons do the little dots in the column between the fan and defrost controls go up and down too?
Edit: If you have temp on each side, you have fan control in the center. If you don't have that, then one side is temp and one side is fan. Not sure which you have on your car. -Geoff

Those are outlets, not fans, that the temperature control dials are around. Not sure what the layout is on a 2LT, but on a 2SS, above the driver side outlet/temp control ring, there are three buttons which allow you to select which outlets the air comes out of - upper dash/defrost, instrument panel, and floor/footwell. Are you sure you have the instrument panel outlets enabled when not in AUTO mode? If the red light isn't on, then air will not be directed to those outlets.
