Sunoco GT 260

My 17 ZL1 is my first forced induction car. I have a Sunoco nearby that sells race fuels. They have the GT 260 at the pump. Unfortunately it is currently $9.49 a gallon. It is oxygenated 100 octane unleaded. Would a blend of the 93 and 100 octane be worth it ? If so what blend ? Thanks in advance for any input.

is it leaded or unleaded? If you are stock, 93 is just fine

The LT4 is very sensitive to Octane. The difference between 93 and 100 will give you another 25 to 30 hp! Don’t take my word for it go check out Ted Jannette. He proves it in back to back dyno pulls.

I sometimes run a min of 4 gallons of VP 101 per tank to create a ~93 mix. Overall cost per gal for the 91/100 mix isn't bad, I created a simple Excel table that tells me how much 101 to add to achieve 93 depending on tank level, assuming 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 tank marks are correct. Like others have said, based on tests by reputable people this car adjusts timing/power up with increased octane up to at least 100 oct, so you can't add too much 100. At the track I add more for heat.

Does this ecu still adjust timing once tuned, or is the ecu kinda locked to what the tuner has provided as paramaters that adding 100 octane to a 93 tune wont matter?
