2019 2SS Wheel Spacer question

Planning to get wheel spacers, does anyone know exact mm to get it flush on a 2019 2SS with stock rims?

I believe most people go with a 20 to 25mm spacer for that.

25mm will poke out. 20mm would be about perfect.

See this thread for pics:

Here's calculations for the "equivalent spacer" dimension of the 5th gen and 6th gen SS 1LE/ZL1 wheels.

From what i've read so far, 20mm front for flush, and 25mm back if you want it to stick out a little. Thanks guys

Do the spacers have any other effect on the car such as steering or suspension issues? Or, do they just change the look slightly by bringing the wheels out a bit?

Spacers will screw up your alignment and handling and stress wheel bearings.

Similarly window tinting will make it hard to see at night.

Bush league. But hey, it's your car.

If the right percent of tint is put on the windows there won’t be any problem seeing at night!

5mm spacers with 305/30/20 in rear and 275/35/20 in front is what I have. Looks great and wont screw up anything.

From what I heard obviously as long as you don't go overboard with the spacer you wont feel much difference unless you track/race. Going wider actually will improve handling.

Do you have any evidence a spacer (20mm for instance) would do any of that, or is that an assumption? You could get an alignment checked/set after installing them. I could see some potential benefits from a handling standpoint. How would the stress on wheel bearings be any different than running the SS 1LE/ZL1 wheels with the more aggressive offset?

Alignment isn't necessarily impacted, but scrub radius is. Basically will make steering feedback to the driver higher since the torque arm acting on the kingpin is now 20mm longer. If you're OK with that then cool, but not necessarily great and can make things like tramlining and steering feel worse since the tire now has more authority over the steering system. Electric power steering would also no longer be optimized.

The center of the contact patch is moved out compared to the larger GM wheels. Those wheels are wider so the center of where force is acting stays about the same whereas just changing offset with a spacer will only move that centroid 20mm further away. A change like that can definitely be the difference between wrecking your wheel bearing or not when hitting potholes or track curbing or other high-impact stuff like that.

Doesn't sound worth it to me just to get a slightly different look. Would wider wheels be better instead of spacers? Of course that's the much more expensive option.
