I sold #4 to a collector. #7 and #9 are for my buddy and I. and the fourth one to another racer friend of mine.

Congrats on your SS as well! Hendrick's might have a VIN Spec Card for you if you didn't get one... PM me your vin, and I'll reach out to them for you, their locating mine now.

Best regards,
Dave
Sorry, I meant the SS as a rental.

The last ZL1 I saw for sale was mid last week in Florida, gone the next day. I thought about going for one of the Hendrick ZL1's but I really want a C7 Z06 for the next add. Curious, why use one of these for a track car over a ZL1 1LE?

Doesn’t it turn off traction control and leave you with limited grip? A salesman has told me this before and suggested sport mode as the better way to go as it is still responsive while the car still has traction control on.

Also wouldn’t tour mode be just as good and all you have to do is blip the throttle to raise the rpms when you sense someone coming up on you and just nail it? Or do you feel like you have to take that second to quickly switch it to track or sport every time when getting ready for a run against someone?
The track mode doesn't turn off traction control. You go through the traction options using the PTM menu once you go into track mode.

Performance shift mode is only available in sports and track mode. If you are looking for a race then you should ride around in sports/track mode. That way a throttle blip will raise the rpms. Sports/Track mode also cuts fuel on upshifts to make them quicker.

As the other guy said first. Manual is just an emotion thing. Automatic is faster in every application.

Cops eventually crack down on organized street racing - although these days they have bigger things to worry about like this "systemic racism" bs and having to use kid gloves on criminals

Gotcha, I just figured this would be unique, to actually see a Hendricks, Hertz, Calloway ZL1 Camaro out racing on the track! A bit of a story to share vs “Just another fast ZLE” 😉👍

I’ll post the build / progress soon!

Best Regards,
Dave

The money and time they spend for this street racing hobby are ridiculous, packages start at $65k. And in the video one Viper caught fire on the freeway, and another blew a huge crack in the intake mani (and probably internal motor shrapnel) due to bad nitrous system--not surprised. The guy was like "oh well could have been worse", he's looking at a minimum $10k to get his rig back on the Mexican freeway.
We have millions of stupid young people today in this country as evidence of the recent riots, stealing, vandalism, law breaking evil doers. Nothing surprises me anymore. The USA has become almost a third world country today.
