This. 99% likely the dealer caused the short.

Op, That was a righteous rant and Anyone would be pissed if dealt all those problems, especially being told that injectors aren’t covered under warranty, which is outrageous. Sounds like the car was beat on but still, it’s a Camaro so it should be designed to withstand performance usage.

Unfortunately, I do not have much of a tool set or the knowledge to work on cars. I wish I was more handy. The left and right upper sway bar bolts loosening had a TSB on them. Anytime I went over a bump, it sounded like the front end was going to fall off.

This can happen on pretty much any car. Really not worth worrying about - something a dealer can take care of during a routine service.

Man, I thought I was gonna help talk you off the ledge, but that car is problematic.
My 2016 has had zero issues, other than the pedal lag which after a Soler TB is mostly acceptable now I suppose.

Pedal lag is part of the design, not a problem per se. I agree with you, a TB does make a difference.

Not a problem GM will address, but a major design fail for sure
I'm hoping tuning will take care of the rest, test drive a C7 and you might not be as accepting of the pedal lag

Your missing the point of my comment! I meant the lag is not going to give you engine or transmission problems. Not that I enjoyed the lag. ✌🏽

We're on the same page, it's a result of a poor design. Chevy should have done a better job.

Consumer Reports rates the reliability of the 2016 Camaro as 3/5 overall, with 3 major trouble areas:

Brakes
Paint/Trim
In-car electronics

Owner satisfaction (would you buy another?) is also rated as 3/5.

From your description and the replies, it sounds like you have a combination of a possible lemon and possible shoddy dealer service/repair. And who knows how the previous owner treated the car?

If it were me, I certainly wouldn't buy another one, especially another used one. Will a used Mustang or Dodge be any more reliable? Who knows? Unless you know the previous owner(s), there's always a bit of luck involved in buying used performance cars. Maybe consider a CPO if possible to be under warranty for a couple years.

Good luck whatever you do!

Sorry for your troubles, cars I find, are a lot like computers, 1 out of every couple hundred are going to be the problem. We all hope when we buy used tech, it works, but it is a crap shoot at best. My dad told me when I was a young man just making real money, drive what you like, cause your paying for it. It’s why I have a hot rod and a diesel truck, that’s what suites me. If your not happy, put the screws to the dealer, call GM corporate, tell them what’s up and your considering legal action, I mean, if your done, you got nothing to lose IMO. Other than that, life’s too damn short to deal with broken toys at this level. Sell it, trade it, give it away, but, go get something fun and leave the issues and worry behind. I had a c4 vette, nothing but overheating problems, an 03 Saleen Mustang, manual shift issues and don’t get me started about the morons at the dealer that couldn’t find parts for it because it was ‘custom’. It’s everywhere dude, but, if you feel like you got a dud, push that much harder for the manufacturer to make it right or take it to Carmax, they will make you an offer same day, or what ever but sounds like you’ve been through it, don’t let something thats supposed to bring you joy drag you down.
My $.02
