Keep us updated, please!

Apexit53, I think the thing about their tests is that it's a very different car and tire size than what we're using. So it's hard to tell how much the results can be generalized to all other cars/sizes. I think the Rivals are an odd case, because they feel so different (which is to say they don't feel at all), and like a lot more slip. So I think different drivers respond very differently to them.

TheRealJA105, thanks for pointing to that other thread! I hadn't seen that before. I might order a pair of those Ford bushings just to see if the fit in the stock brackets. If so, that's a good solution, I think.

Yup! Miatas with double wishbones and lots of camber with the proper sized wheel for the tire doesn't translate well to us 3700lb guys with pinched front tires.

its not just with our cars though. I felt that way when i was in STX and the bfg was new. it tested fast but then all nats podiums that year was bridgestones.

I just get skeptical lol

Please post up if you do. I think my solution is going to work, but those really look like they would be a better fit.

Hello to everybody. If everything works out, I'm picking up a 2019 1LE later tonight and I have a couple of B-Street questions. It seems the MRR M755 wheels are a popular option for 19" wheels. Some of the wheels I've seen have +23 front, + 43 rear offset, while Proparts sells these wheels with +23 front, +38 rear. Would there be any reason to have the rear wheels stick out 5mm more?

need more rear lateral grip? Id just do with then +43 for the rear.

I have the same setup and run a 3mm spacer up front.

I'm running 19s with 305/325 supercar 3s on my 2018 SS1LE. They might be slightly slower than re71s but I'm hopefully they last longer and are more heat resilient when I use them for track days.

Nice - that's what I am considering. Anyone nearby with the 305 RE71R setup that you could swap wheels with for comparison? Would be really good info.

That looks great. I really want to try that exact combo out back to back against square 305 RE71R's.

Took the new car out in totally stock form. Such a fun car! I had way too much fun with the skinny pedal and the results showed - lots of senseless hooning in my vid. I was 12th in PAX out of 146, but at least Vivek Goel got it up to 2nd place in the later runs!

Did another autox on the 305/325 Goodyear supercar 3 combo. I like it a lot. I'm still getting a little under steer on very tight turns. I co drive with my wife, it was about 80deg and we were basically hot lapping it (6 runs each driver,12 total in a row, no water). The tires never overheated. They were good enough for 1st in class 6th raw and 5th pax out of 64
