MSD 2-Step causes lag?
So I have the msd ignition 2 step on my car for about 20,000 miles. Rarely use it, just a couple pops at car shows but they're rare. I took it off a couple days ago because I'm dropping the car off at Chevy for transmission work and didn't want random mods being blamed for the issue. Once I took it off the car felt more responsive on the pedal so I'm wondering if the 2 step can create any input lag or it's just in my head?

why would you need an aftermarket 2-step. both the manual and automatic 6th gen has a factory launch control that uses the fuel management "2-step"

instead of MSD. At the track an aftermarket launch control is more effective then the stock launch. You can’t adjust the stock RPM for track conditions which is very important. The stock launch is better then nothing but I didn’t like it in my 2016 and switch over to the lingenfelter 2 step which was used in conjunction with retarding my nitrous. My 2016 was heavily modified. The 2 step wired together with line lock is really what you want at the track for launch. If your just using a MSD for car shows then it’s fine plus it’s cheaper then Lingenfelter if cost is a factor.
