Based on your responses I would get the ZL1. I absolutely love my 1LE, but I will admit the ZL1 is a better all round car. I'll admit to being shallow - but I went with the 1LE, because I loved the aggressive looks, I do 15 to 20 track events a year and I like the idea of being able to hang with cars on the track that cost nearly 4 to 5 times as much, and I like the idea that Chevy put one of the best track suspensions in the 1LE. However every spring when I take it out of storage I have to get used to the ride again (the roads in NE Ohio get a little rough after winter)

Makes you wonder how the ZLE interior (esp the dash) is going to hold up (extra rattles)

Is it because the lack of DRL lights and the concern of the aero wing on the ZL1 1LE causing drag that I mentioned? I still have to figure this one out. I LOVE the looks of the ZL1 1LE as well. Truth is I will put dark window tint on the car so not sure if the DRL lights on the ZL1 make a difference in providing more light output as opposed to just only the HID headlights on the ZL1 1LE. As far as the aero setup I don’t know if it will cause bad drag going past ¼ mile drags or suck at roll races. We’ve all seen races were Hellcats and ZL1s are pretty much a driver’s race and come out to be even. I wonder how an A10 ZL1 1LE would do against the A8 Hellcat or if it would lose against it because of its aero. |

Dude, DRL don't provide extra light for you to drive by. That isn't what they are for. DRL's are so that other vehicles can see you in lower light conditions.
It was a safety thing when it started. So, I would not let the DRL's factor into your decision at all.

Drive your new ZL1/ZLE today with a possible Riot like we see in the larger cities and see what happens? A flashy Camaro ZL1 equals rich in the minds of a paid radical left protestor/rioter. What will you do when a brick enters your front Recaro seat breaking your window then they spray paint your hood. It's the times we live in. Just saying.
