Posting up a few pics of mine I bought new about 2 months ago. 2019 ZL1 Auto. Got a killer deal on a black hood with the CF insert ($500) so I'm going for the "1LE vert" look Got the clear markers on the way too which I think will give it a much cleaner look. Next on the list is a black spoiler, Rotofab and I think that will be it for a while. I'm also an F-body owner, 2000 WS6 M6 with 69k on the clock and way too many mods to list.

I have had the Chevelle for 40 years. Was my Grandmothers car before I drove it to high school. In a straight line it will beat my new Camaro but the first turn the Camaro will be in front. The custom brake system on the Chevelle stops better than the Bembros on the Camaro. The Camaro drives likes its on rails and I haven't broke it in yet

Took some of the 16-18 5 spokes and had them painted gloss black. (I know its hard to see the exact style) Blacked out bow-tie in the grill, D/D marker lights and tinted windows. Simple mods but I'm pretty darn happy with the look now. Thought about painting the wing black but I'm not sure about that right now. Pretty content.

Bought mine on 6/6/20 (four weeks ago today). Trailered it home because there was no way to register it (bought out of state). Took three weeks, but I finally got a plate on it. It's almost at the 200 mile mark now.
This is the second wash I've done on it, and I dug a little deeper into things. The first time, I found a handful of orange spots in the paint. I suspected brake dust and sprayed the whole car with IronX this time. Most of the car turned purple to some degree, and the wheels were completely purple (as expected). Thorough rinse, thorough wash, another thorough rinse. Then I pulled out the leaf blower to get the heavy water off and out of the crannies, pulled it into the garage and wiped it down the rest of the way. You really have to go over it thoroughly to get it dry, and that includes opening the trunk and half-opening the convertible top. There is water EVERYWHERE in places that you simply can't see. The only mods so far are StoNSho for the front plate (looks good in the trunk, doesn't it? lol) and the front ZL1 style splitter. I have the matching rocker skirts ready to go once I find the time and the 3M tape arrives. Last photo shows the car's interior. |
