Been using havoline 5w40 dexos 2 approved oil for a while for my 17 zl1, both on street and track without any issues, and i highly recommend it.
But since our dealer provided mobile esp, i switched to mobile oil for warrenty purposes.

Those who say Mobil 1 is better because it's Mobil 1 don't know much, the gap between major synthetics are basically nothing now and UOAs prove it (in fact many outperform standard M1, not the EP product)

I thought I was ANAL doing a 500 mile, and 1,500 mile oil, filter & differential change... Next oil change will likely be at 4,500 miles and then every 3,000 miles there after (with a diff fluid change every other oil change...)

Was going to buy Mobil 1 0W-40 ESP from my dealer as I get wholesale pricing but with COVID going on, my dealer's parts dept. was closed at the time I was trying to buy through them. Went on, I believe it was, GM Parts Direct and I saw the same thing, discontinued. So I went ahead and ordered from Summit Racing. Interested to hear though if anyone finds out more of why this is discontinued?

Maybe your dealership was using the 1L bottle part number which was replaced with a different part number for the 1 Quart bottle. Mobil1 0W-40 ESP is still factory fill on the new SS models afaik.
