What is the advantage to adding Brembos to my Camaro I’m ordering?

Which model are you ordering? The SS comes with Brembo's standard (they are just gray, you can pay for an optional color) on all 4 corners.

If you are ordering one without Brembo's, there is an optional upgrade, the Brembo's will give you more powerful 4 piston calipers (vs. 2 piston) but it looks like only on the fronts.

I am ordering a 2ss but would like red Brembos. Is that more? I don’t see that option when I’m selecting options

Looks like you found it... I LOVE my Red Brembo's on my 2SS...



You might want to paint the center of your rotor hubs if you order black wheels (the hubs come battleship gray, I painted mine black)

I paid the same painting price $395 on my LT1 but I only got the fronts painted. You SS folks are getting a bargain. I will finish the option myself.

I am pretty sure the upgrade is 6 piston and the stock is 4.

SS upgrade is to 4 piston painted (per Chevy site) 6 piston is the 1LE Brembo brakes. I do believe the stock gray Brembo SS are 4 piston, so either way, 4 piston for non-1LE SS.

I have the 6 piston upgrade on my non 1LE. You actually don’t need the 1LE package to get the upgraded 6 piston front and 4 piston rear performance brakes. Selecting that $3,645 option circled in the picture automatically select the two above it. It’s pricey, but available.

Ah, good to know. I just checked "1LE" package and it deleted whatever options I had already chosen. Thanks for the clarification!

You can "almost" add all of the 1LE to a non-1LE SS. The only thing you cant add is the e-Lsd, everything else can be added.
