Procharged SS leaking oil
As title says. I threw a Procharger and been using a the Procharger canned tune for a month now. Last night when I did a pull a shit ton of white smoke came out the back. Pulled over and open good, oil was everywhere. Turn car back on looking for leak, could not find it. Started driving away and wasn’t losing oil, everything was good. Drove all the way home from Connecticut. Next day went and got oil, filled up. Did a quick 2 second pull, nothing. Car runs and drives fine. Did a prolonged pull of about 5 seconds and got into 4th gear, it started it again, hence the piks right now. Any info guys? Just base Procharger tune and 2 step spark plugs.

More than likely you blew out your front main seal.

Yup, i wrote the same thing in your duplicate thread. Replace the seal and hope you haven’t done other damage. There are reports this occurring on pulls and then running into piston ring issues.

How are you venting crankcase pressure?

Which is odd, had my D1SC on for almost 15k miles now with plenty of 6500rpm pulls and no issues with blowing oil out the front main seal. I need to find a CC that will work with the setup, but when I look and contact the main companies none of them have a known to work bolt in kit. They all say it will take some work to fit one to the car.

King and I have both preached to replace that seal when you pull the balancer. Don't hesitate to do or you'll be where I was also a couple years ago and when you see the difference between the two seals you'll know which one is best. I blew mine out a couple years ago and probably damaged the number 1 ring land and didn't realize it had happened. Replaced the seal and improved the crank ventilation but obviously it was too late and a month later at the Camaro fest launched the rear seal out and made one more race and oiled the track down. Not a happy day. Then the tear down began and number 1 and 8 were broken. New short block required. Not cheap.

Thanks for the input guys. I been driving around cautiously for the last few days and now oil is leaking now from the seal, it looks fresh everyday. I ordered the mighty mouse catch can breather and a ls3 front seal. Will probably park the thing until I get that on, and will bring it the dyno this Saturday to check procharger tune is good. They preached and said it was fine and took there word for it but who knows.

Should I also replace the rear main seal as well? Replace it anyways to just be safe? If so, could you link the part? Having a hard time finding that one. Thank you!
