V6 power cut problem
So I recently got a 2019 V6 Camaro it had 25000 miles and it was a trade-in from a rental company. as I just started to get comfortable I noticed that when I drive with the paddles if I decide to speed up I usually slowly press the gas more until I start to speed up but every once and a while (I've been noticing more recently) I get no power when I do that. I will floor the car and I don't hear the engine rev nor do I speed up it's like nothing happens. when I drive in auto mode it doesn't do that. if this happens to anyone else and if you know how to fix it or any suggestions please let me know.

Are you saying the car has no real get up and go when you use the paddles and are at a low rpm?

One word: downshift. If you’re at low rpm you’re not making torque. You need torque to accelerate. When in auto and you floor it, the computers tell the trans to downshift, which brings the rpm up into the better torque (and power) range, and it will accelerate.

As with any engine you need to be in the upper end of the rev range to get maximum power. Try the same scenario with the paddles, but keep it say around 5,000 rpm, then hit it. You'll feel a big difference

If you try to accelerate after cruising in a high gear/low load for a while, you might be experiencing the lag when two cylinders kick in after being deactivated.
