Dent in block
I was working on my car when my dad dropped his flashlight on my motor and made a dent the dent is extremely small and a finger nail wouldn’t go in there at all I was wondering if the regular gasket would be ok still ?

I'm not expert at all, but if the seal covers the whole area between both cylinders I don't think it will cause an issue on the short term. But I think there will be a concentration of wear in that area and on the long term you might want to check it.

that wont cause any issues after you spray both sides of your gasket with sealer and install the heat from the motor with casue the gasket and sealer to expand filling it in for a proper seal.

Just make sure there aren't any sharp edges. Take a razor blade and a magnet (so you can catch the shavings) to slice off any ridges until flush with the deck.

Do I have to spray both left and right gaskets or just the one ? And what if I run it without the spray would you think it would be good ?

i was told even a scratch from scraping the old gasket off with a razor blade the gasket will fail. i dont see how gasket sealer is going to stop the pressure from the cylinder from blowing out the gasket.

Fill it with a high temp epoxy and sand it flat with fine grit. There is some stuff out there rated for 1000+ degrees. I have read of a few fixing small surface dents like that this way after they tried to run it as is and it failed.
