At home I have a Bendpack LR-60 low rise scissor lift and use 1+" thick Bendpack lift pads under each ZL1 lift pad, and the rockers clear the Bendpack ramps by at least 1/2".
When jacking the car at the track using my portable jack, I use the ZL1-AO pinch weld mag jack puck--the integrated hockey puck provides the needed clearance from the jack surface. I rest the car on jack stands under the attached lift pads, place/center them carefully under the lift pads and use good thick rubber top covers on jack stands or they could slip. I recommend ZL1-AO lift pads AND a portable pinch weld jack puck to all ZL1 owners. |

Cool thats the lift I have I was wondering how well it lifts our car. What did you do to get the car over it if you dont mind me asking.

Tires sit firmly on each board when parked centered over lift, they shift after parking a few times so I get out of car and line them up occasionally prior to parking. I use one of these mounted on front wall with 2 laser dots aligned on top edges of L/R dash gauge cluster to line up parking position and distance on lift. Works great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0835R1QWZ...dDbGljaz10cnVl Last edited by SFV1LE; 05-13-2020 at 01:34 PM. |

I just received 4 ZL1 AddOns 3” MagPads. Unfortunately, all the pucks slide off the pad when handheld at the slightest angle, no way I’m going to trust my car being lifted like this. I’ve already expressed my concerns and am waiting to hear back from them. As for lifting the car using the aft-most forward lift points with the QuickJack, some seem to be ok with it but I would not. Looks like too much front overhang and the fact that some are complaining about wrinkles is enough to cause me to stop and reconsider. QuickJack does make a model (BL-6000) that has an additional 10” of span which may be enough to utilize the rear and forward-most lifting points. Unfortunately, that model is also their heaviest at something like 110lbs per jack. A more serious concern for me is the fact that some have received their QuickJacks in boxes that have been subjected to significant abuse during shipping. This raises a serious questions in my mind as to wether or not structural damage to the jack has occurred. If I decide to buy one, I’d be willing to pay extra to have it shipped as palletized freight. Chris |

My question is, if the aft of the 2 forward lift points is unacceptable to use, why did they put them there in the first place? Even using jack stands you either need to jack on that aft/fwd lift point or you're going to put the jack stand on it...

This is all news to me. I've always just used a HF low-profile jack and an amazon magnetic pinch weld puck to jack one side at a time. Even if I place it at the front most jack point it still lifts the rear up before you could get a jack under it. Never had any issues before, now I'm going to be worrying every time I swap wheels.

The quick Jack frames themselves would take a hell of a lot of abuse to get damaged. I think you could drop them from the roof of your house and they'll probably be fine. It's the power unit/pump you have to worry about. That thing comes in a different box from the actual frames. I made sure that box was not beat up when I got mine. I wouldn't worry too much about the boxes the frames are shipped in being damaged. Quote:
I think that middle pinch weld is there for quick tire changes at the track. You lift the front and rear wheels at the same time, take the wheels off, slap the new ones on and put the car down. I don't think the car is meant to be completely suspended in the air using the middle jacking points.

My Quickjack arrived with beat to crap boxes, but they ended up mostly fine. Quickjack sent out a replacement part ASAP. Be sure to tighten the valve stems. All were loose.

I have a lot of friends who are pro detailers and have a quickjack in their shop that is used daily. They work fine. Anyone complaining of instability or something likely did not set them up properly.
I highly recommend ZL1Addons' lift pads. I have had my car in the air a few times and it really makes me uncomfortable, but jacking up a car by its pinch welds alone really hurts my brain. My car was also on a 2 post lift last year. The arms were very close to touching the rockers, but nothing to really sweat over.
