If you got the stuff you were talking about earlier, I wonder how far you get into the 700s

I expect I’ll be much closer to Mike’s Z06. Though I’ll be running a 95mm tb vs his 103.

Added some stuff...Kooks 2” with green cats and Borla SType 3” cat back. Headers were coated chrome when I bought them and I coated the entire Borla system in black.

Do you have any sound clips? I’ve been looking at the S-Type a lot more ever since BlackDemonZl1 posted his cat deleted ride. It sounds nice, deep and not obnoxious. Think he still has his factory exhaust manifolds.

Looks great, really like the Black coating on the catback. Did you have to modify anything to bolt the Kooks connection pipes to the Stype, other than cutting them. I have that catback too , trying to decide which header will be easiest. Thanks!

No mods necessary. The person I bought the SType from had them on Kooks and I was able to bolt them right up to my 2” Kooks and green cats. I saw a couple of other members who coated their cat backs and thought it looked cool and I don’t have 1 chrome and 1 black tip anymore...it’s all black.

Nice man! I'm also in the Bay Area (San Francisco). I'm also in a similar situation where I'm thinking of adding 2" headers and high flow cats to my NPP Stype Catback. How did you like the sound when you installed them? Worried that it'll be wake the dead levels if I do haha.

I ran the headers and green cats with the stock cat back for a couple of months. Cold starts are brutal, no matter what setting you’re on. Cruise under 3k you can definitely run quiet on any setting. At or above 3500 rpms it can get loud when you’re on the gas. The 3” Borla SType didn’t help or hurt the cold starts, but it definitely sounds deeper. It’s also not as quiet on stealth as the stock suitcase, but still relatively tame under 3500 rpm.

Thank you for the links !!! I always thought the Borla exhausts sound raspy. This one doesn’t sound raspy at all. I am pleasantly surprised.

Awesome, thanks so much for the info! Yeah, I hear you on the cold starts, even with the Borla catback alone it’s bonkers. Still good to hear that it hasn’t got worse with the Borla. So are you happy with the volume/sound of the headers with the Borla, or are you thinking of making more changes?
