Smile car "kid" train them up when they are young!

Police in Utah pulled over a 5-year-old driver who said he was heading to California to buy a Lamborghini.

The boy somehow made his way onto the freeway in his parents' car Monday and was planning to buy himself an Italian luxury sports car, Utah Highway Patrol said in a statement on Twitter.
"He might have been short on the purchase amount, as he only had $3 dollars in his wallet," the statement said.

Trooper Rick Morgan pulled the boy over after he saw the car swerving so badly on Interstate 15 in Odgen, Utah, that he thought the driver was impaired or needed medical attention. Morgan told the Associated Press the boy did not respond to his lights but pulled over when he hit his siren.
“I approached the vehicle and I was expecting to find somebody who needed an ambulance or paramedics,” Morgan said.
But when the window came down, Morgan said it was pretty clear that it was “a very underaged driver who was behind the wheel.”

The boy was sitting on the edge of his seat to reach the brake pedal, the trooper said.
Dash camera footage of the traffic stop shows Morgan pulling over the SUV and questioning the driver.
"How old are you? You're 5 years old?" Morgan says in the video. "Wow, okay. Where did you learn how to drive a car?" - Utah Daily News:

Its all part of the dumbing down of America. They are starting them off younger and younger. Who here was that dumb at 5 years old?

At 5 I was driving my parents 1980 Toyota Corolla with a 5spd manual up and down our driveway which was a 1/4 mile long but I never dreamed of driving on the road as I was told not to and I enjoyed driving the car too much to lose my privileges.

The parent/parents should be charged for what the boy did as it was very serious. His actions endangered himself and other drivers and someone could have been killed. Seems like to me the writer of the news article was making light of what the boy did. Of course that’s the way our society is going now and everyone else is to blame for the actions of people.

Local radio station does a segment called, "Did it Happen in Florida" Give you 3 stories and you can call in and win something if you guess which one was in the plywood state. This story was one of them yesterday.

Thats what I was thinking too. Granted, I am from a family of hobbits, but that really caught my eye.

By the new rules my daughter should have been in a booster seat until she was like 13.

Yeah I thought he was mighty big for 5 years old too and I was thinking if I had done something like that when I was his age my parents would have beat me good. I never would have done anything like that anyway.

Teach them to respect things

My mom jokes when things like this happens she won’t be surprised if my son does this one day (take my car for a ride). It’s funny to joke since he is big into cars but I know 100% he wouldn’t do it well not until he has his license. After my grandmas funeral we were talking wills he said I have to leave the car to him 5 years he can start driving, kinda scary
