Twin turbo build starts

So I just order my twin turbo kit from Huron speed for my 18 Camaro ss. I got the full standard kit with the oil less 6262’s. I’m excited to get it finished within the next few weeks! Stay tuned. Any advice is greatly appreciated. This will be my first boosted v8. If anyone has this set up lmk!

What are you doing for a fuel system?

Please let us know how you like the greasy turbo performance and maintenance. I was curious about this kit, but I've only owned oil cooled or water cooled turbo cars. Did you get a screaming deal at huron over hellion?

I have the kit but with the larger 6871 turbos. It's going on a forged 416 and I am using a Crawford Racing secondary port injection system, shooting for 1200 rwhp at 25ish pounds. Mine will hopefully be together in the next week or so.

Damn, that is going to be nasty! Looking forward to checking it out when it's done.

You and me both, it has been down for 6 months waiting for this build to be complete. I am going to post a build thread when it gets done, hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

I am staying on the stock fuel system for right now. I know I’ll be limited with that. I plan to upgrade later on.

I will do my best! But yes I got a way better deal! Honestly I like this set up better because It won’t take up any rooM in the engine bay

That is gonna be a monster! Do you have any videos? Did you run to any issues when you first got everything put together?

Nothing yet, it's being put together now and I'm hoping sometime in the next few weeks it will be running.

We can supply oiled turbos if you like and assist with oiling setup, but ends up nearly costing just as much if not more. Oiled also adds a lot more complexity with feed and drain lines, pump setup, brackets for the pump, wiring harness for the pump, and check valves to prevent oil pooling.
We recommend the Air-cooled with no lines or the Oil-Less with only running coolant which is easy just tapping into the heater hoses (which the OP is running here)

That was the fear, had a low mount turbo once and it was a nightmare with the oil pump for the scavenge and return. System was never happy, would spit and burn oil from the downpipe and turbine. It needed frequent adjustments, just wasn't fun.

I hope the OP has lots of trouble free miles with the grease turbo set up. Taking the oil out of the low mount set ups really makes it much easier and I'd imagine cleaner.

I'll be following for updates! I got Huron Speed's twin-turbo base kit about a month ago too. Currently saving for the rest of the parts and install to have it done later this year. Can't wait to see how yours turns out!

Well I got the front removed. I had to removed plastic pieces all around the front. Headlights are out. I finally mounted the intercooler. I did have to get some m8x1.25 20mm bolts. That go in through the bracket to the intercooler. Huronspeed has been really helpful with any questions I have! I don’t know how to post pics yet on here or else I’d post some.
