Picked up this beauty today! Leftover 2019 Hyabusa!! I haven't riden at all in over 10 years. And it was a long day. Thank God there were a couple guys there who let me ride off with them. It was scary. I made a few mistakes including stalling in the middle of an 8-lane intersection...twice, lol!! But I got the hang of it quickly and made it home safely. This bike is mean and is definitely faster than any bike I ever owned before. Gonna treat her with the utmost respect and ride safely. Now I just gotta go all the way back to the motorcycle dealership to pick up my ZL1, lol!!

to Iconic:
Well it depends on how much the car actually cost out the door? Let me guess you are the only guy who's sister married a Henry Ford Junior so you got the GT500 at cost. The problem with Ford marketing is, it is a scam, MSRP for just about anything else is you can roll a car for that or a LOT less. For any Shelby it is just a myth. Hero runs are not Joe Average runs and your 9 second 1/4 miles evaporates into the reality of a street tires engine in the front RWD car on the street. Don't know about the road course, maybe it is the cat's meow for what 6 months? After many many years of wait. Good great enjoy your car, but don't pretend it is some sort of $$$$ bargain, cause the vast majority of the guys that own this car are far deeper into the cost than MSRP would say. Ya run what you brung, my car ain't stock, its pretty fast, there is always faster, my car was pretty cheap, I got a manual cause I wanted one, something a DCT will never offer, sure there is now 1/2 second or more left on the table. Dependability? I know the GT350 had many issues from cooling to oil pumps, we don't know much about the GT500, I like cars, I hope these prove to be immortal. In the end we are talking about a porkey complicated car with some strange limits like the ancient 8.8 diff with 3.73 gears. Why would an OEM put such an underspec unit in their car? Great some kudos for an end of life platform with a first off DCT, but to pretend there is some sort of nirvana here that is not going to be EASILY eclipsed by either a Camaro or the C8 in the NEAR future is just pretending time stands still. The same fate awaits this GT500 vs the last one, too heavy, too costly, and sooner or later GM will come out with something that offers the same performance for 2/3 the actual purchase price of the car. I think the GT500 is a great car, I'm glad you have one and what to gauge its performance, it may well be the king of "stock" production cars right now. But is it king for long? is it king over slightly to mildly modified production cars? You live in a very narrow fantasy land of defining what is the top of the performance heap, either side of that is a slippery slope down. I have never slid down the slope as I admit there is always faster... always it is an immutable law. Enjoy the spotlight my friend, it is short and hot. While depending on your income, the payments and parts breakage can leave a listing heart ache. Me, my car is a hobby, I could built one faster and cheaper in 1/4 of the time for pennies on the dollar.

I did. And drove it home tonight. What have you done in these past few months besides following me around? Nothing. You are the kind of person that spends time trash talking others while doing nothing for himself. In fact, every time you've trash talked what I have done or planned to do, you actually weren't telling me what I can do or haven't done...you were telling me what you can't do or will never do. In all this time, what have you done for yourself? You are a jealous, envious, arrogant, haughty child and you have nothing going for yourself. In another year I'll be done bought a house and added a GTR, and probably a Suzuki Boulevard M109, a Polaris Slingshot, and a Can-Am Spyder to my collection and you'll still be running behind me trash talking and doing nothing with your life. So let's see where we both are soon. I'm re-blocking you and I will not be seeing your messages again. Oh, and BTW, you can try to get people to quote your messages in hopes that I'll see it...it won't work. I noticed when you did that the first time and now I completely scroll past anything pertaining to you, lol!! Enjoy replying back. Maybe I'll see it at some point and we'll see where life has put us. Little advice, do not battle up. I am clearly above you in every way. Bye bye. |

Heck I think about buying many cars, too old for bikes. Don't let people bait you, buy what you want and can afford.
Looks like a GT500 actual selling price is from $85k to 120K. https://www.truecar.com/new-cars-for.../mustang/?sort[]=price_desc&trimSlug[]=shelby-gt500 I checked out my dream car an RS3 and here is one for 46K in the color I like: https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-fo...018-audi-rs-3/ Of course I would have to get a job, so no thanks I'll stay home and play World of Tanks.

I have been stuck between being appreciative for what I have and living life to the fullest. Over the past few weeks I thought about the fact that since 2001 my dream bike was a Hyabusa. So I paid all my bills and decided to achieve one of my lifelong goals. It really has nothing to do with that troll. I felt like I deserved a pick me up. So I splurged. It will be paid off in 3 weeks. And I'll probably ride it a few times a year. I did it for myself. And to prove that people who follow others will never get ahead...they'll always be following. That troll has a lot to learn about life. Anyway, it is always good to read your outlooks and see your knowledge at work. You, Martin, shaffe (sometimes, lol), Hotlap, ST1LE, and a bunch or others really make this subforum what it is!! You guys are the ones I come back for. And I am thankful that the moderators allow us to enjoy ourselves here. |

![]() You keep saying the cam thing man, if Mike didn't have a cam but was running E, the same pulley as you and a tire like you he'd probably still be pulling on you lol. You seem like a cool guy, don't be a sore loser, put some cams in that thing and watch them not do anything. You keep saying nothing stock motor can run with you but there's a stock babay 1.7L lt4 blower, stock cam, stock heads, zl1 running 9.5s.... aka the same as the fastest gt500.. and for 80k or less... weird how you ignore that. Just because you haven't raced them doesn't mean their not out there.

I just found out about a park near DFW. This is what I'm talking about with prerunning: https://youtu.be/1hKTcM6Qbgo See if there's something like this in Florida. You'll get to experience why the ZR2 is the "1le" of trucks. 420motors on YouTube is always doing fun stuff with his to give you some more ideas. |

Hellcats really are the last true muscle cars. Camaros and mustangs are true sports cars with muscle car roots now.
