They may not track like the Goodyear but for daily use they make the ZLE a lot more livable. I didn't mind the ride with the Goodyears but these do ride much better.

My wife said she would actually go to meets with me as long as I have these tires. She refused to ride in the car before.

I was planning on some michelins myself, I got my car with 2600 miles, Now at 9k I have been terrorizing the back rural roads of east Texas, I could get a another 1k out of her, but it's close to the wear indicators, plus today I just had Goodyear supercar 3 delivered $760 for a set of 4, and could have got them for 740. 7/32 vs 9.5/32 more than half price ! Those Goodyear's stick hard.

Goodyear does not make a tire for daily use that compares to the 4S for these cars. I can say that with absolute certainty. Is the 3R a better track tire no doubt in my mind. But for daily use the 4S stands alone.

I will take that statement one step further. There are very few here that could push the 4S to its limit on a ZLE. That number gets smaller when you talk about a 3R. The car is so beyond the limits of its owners it is silly. I doubt anyone on this forum could match the 7:16 Nurburgring lap. Though there may be a few that come very close. Not trying to insult anyone here but I have owned a lot of high power cars over the years and I know I couldn't run a 7:16 at the ring in my ZLE. I can drive but that time is insane.

i think he was referring to the supercar 3, not the 3R...regardless, seems the 4S wins in the street category

I know. The Supercar 3 doesn't come close. Had them on my 2SS.

My car is a ZL1 with all OEM 1LE parts added without the DSSV, so I have 20 inch wheels, No doubt Michelin makes what is known in the performance world as the best tires period. How do I know? Because on my 200hp sport bikes that's all I have ran for years. But I have found great prices on the goodyear's, tire rack shows michelins at $360($400+ any where else) each or more for a rear. All I was saying is $200 vs $400 worth it ? I'm not cheap ! But I'm not going tip toe or drive my car every now and then. And before anyone gets upset I will one day get a set of michelins, The goodyear's are 7/32 and the michelins are 9.5/ 32 so if you drive both tires the same what would be the difference in miles ? Can you get 15k from GY ? And 25k from MS ? With torque every where in the LT4 that be hard for me to hit 25K. Again I know who cares about miles ! LOL Its perfomance right ?That's what really matters, I haft to replace my rear sportbike tire every 3k, shops change close to $300 for a back then scratch your bike and wheels during installation plus other damage. I order the same tire online for $150, and have my on tire machine and balancer I have been using for 15 years and have not let a tire shop touch my wheels in years. Again I understand its performance you are taking about.
Dont forget the ZL1 goodyears are not runflats, so imagine they are a little softer than SS camaro tires, so more grip I believe for ZL1.

Tyres Gator through Ebay,
Ebay sent me a 10% of coupon, I put two in the cart when I should have put 4 tires, so I made two separate purchases. The tires are brand new (green lines around the rubber)take off's, and they have many. $199.00 each. 2018 build dates.
