Part Number for LS3 Front Crank Seal

I posted in another thread the need for the part number for the LS3 seal that is supposedly stronger than the LT1 seal. I understand that boosting the LT1 puts a lot of pressure on the front crankshaft seal and it blows out. I would like to install the LS3 seal as I do the supercharger install naturally but when I search for a seal most of the sites say the seal for Camaros from 2010 to 2020 are the same. I need a part number if someone can help. Thanks.

Also, I have heard that installing an oil catch can will help in preventing the "blow out". I have a Mishimoto installed but the Edelbrock install procedure doesn't say how to incorporate the catch can in the install. Help!

You should never have pressure build to begin with if you use the proper system, and Mishi does not make a full time evacuation system. Neither do hardly any other brands. If you use a system that pulls full time evacuation on the crankcase (and that means suction full time) pressure can never build to begin with. Only using a breather system or a conventional catchcan will allow that. How does a breather system allow that? Simple flow dynamics. It takes greater pressure behind the breather to force pressure out, so there will always be some present. That's why breathers have not been used in decades except by those that don't understand proper crankcase evacuation.

You can email our technical support and engineering department direct at: Tech@EliteEngineeringUSA.com

We will even give guidance on using cans that are not ours so you can at least use them to the best of the cans ability, but with a GDI engine, especially one that only traps 30% or so of what enters allowing the rest to still be ingested is not recommended. GDI engines cannot tolerate any ingestion without negative effects. Here is a good thread on the catchcan test anyone can conduct to see first hand: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=512223
